I think I am a bit of a professional when it comes to ending my smoking habit. In the past 25 years or so I made a habit of attempting to stop smoking. Sometimes I had long periods of continued smoking in between my many attempts to become an ex-smoker. I finally have been smoke free now for 10 years. My anniversary date is March 16th. Having a tremdendous respect for the power of the addiction, I say things like, "I am in between cigarettes or and I am an ex-smoker". A non-smoker I am not. Once a smoker an ex-smoker is a better description. The phrase, "you are one cigarette away," is so true. I tested that saying many times. For some reason I thought I could get a way with having just one. Ha! A lesson that finally stuck. It may have been a day, a week or a few weeks, but I would get back into smoking full time again if I let myself believe I could get away with having just one.
Are you here because you would like to kick the habit? Then you are in a good place. I can honestly say that if I can quit, so can you. I remember thinking if I could stop smoking I could do anything and I do appreciate the fact that now, I could give a rats hiney to ever having a smoke again. What a feeling of freedom! It takes time to get there, but it is so worth it! Believe! Keep trying!

My neighbors used his method and they both quit. You can find his books used on Amazon or Ebay. My husband is going to try it. I will update on his progress when he gets started. |
